The City of Blythe bills for water based on a monthly meter fee plus a fee for all water used.
Water consumption is billed in units of 1000 gallons. Currently the city bills $1.18 for every 1,000 gallons of water used.
Use your bill to understand how much water you use. For instance, a family of four that uses 13 units of water over a 30 day period used 13,000 gallons of water (13 units x 1000 gallons). Over a 30 day billing period they used 433 gallons of water per day (13,000 / 30). Therefore, on average each person in the family used 108 gallons of water per day (433 /4).
Use the difference between winter water consumption and summer consumption to see how much water you use outdoors.
