    Bids will be received at the City of Blythe, Office of the City Clerk, 235 N. Broadway, Blythe, California, 92225 until Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 2:00pm, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Multi-Purpose Room at said address. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids will not be considered and will be returned to bidder unopened. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that his/her/its bid is received by the deadline. 

    A mandatory on-site pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Community Center located at 445 N. Broadway. Bids received from contractors not attending the Pre-bid meeting will not be considered.

    Notice is hereby given that the Blythe City Council will hold a public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 14, 2023, at 6:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 235 North Broadway, Blythe.

     The purpose of the hearing is to consider a Categorical Exemption from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines §15183 for the WattEV Electric Charging Station Project.

    The project site is located on East Donlon, immediately west of the Casa Encinas apartment complex located at 2200 East Donlon street in Blythe.  The northern parcel is more specifically described as APN 857-210-019, the central parcel is more specifically described as APN 857-210-018 and the eastern parcel is more specifically described as APN 869-210-012 in Blythe, California.

    The WattEV project is a proposed electric truck and vehicle charging station located and designed to serve preliminary pass-by traffic on Interstate 10.
